2017 Construction Executive of the Year  Finalist #1 Brandon Bell - Bell Steel, Inc.     Brandon Bell is an individual with a rare combination of skills and traits that make him a successful leader in whatever endeavor he becomes involved with.  He believes that opportunities abound for those willing to look for and work at achieving those opportunities, and he possesses a great level of humility - motivated not be personal gain or ego, but by bringing the best out in others.    Brandon grew up in Yuma, and moved to Phoenix in 1999 after high school to work at his father's company, United Ornamental Iron.  Brandon learned the business from the ground up, and recognized that in order to grow, the company would need to expand its operations from ornamental iron to structural steel.  As the Company's Estimator and Chief Project Manager, he began taking classes in engineering and construction management at night, and educated himself on the structural steel bus

                                    Fall Semester Deadline Extended -  May 1                                       Scholarship Requirements and Application   The Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) will award an educational scholarship for each semester. (Summer sessions do not qualify.) We acknowledge that one of our primary goals is education. We also acknowledge the need for qualified employees in the construction field. These needs will be filled largely by students graduating from our area schools. We hope these scholarships will prove to be an investment in the Arizona field of construction by providing promising financial/construction professionals with some assistance while completing their studies .   The applicant should demonstrate the following qualities and skills: Has received or will receive a diploma from an accredited high school.
