CFMA's Annual Southwest Regional Conference Registration Deadline is this Sunday, September 9th!!  Sign Up to Attend Now!

As you have probably seen on the news, The Talking Stick Resort and Casino has been closed since August 9th because of extensive water damage from the monsoon storms this summer.
 
As a result, our Conference was cancelled on Thursday August 23rd. But WE didn't panic - well I did, however, as luck would have it our #1 choice The Hotel Palomar was now available, and the staff of both hotels worked diligently to arrange the move.
 
you have hotel reservations at Talking Stick they should have already reached out to you to confirm the cancellation and refer you to The Palomar to provide them with your credit card.
 
If you haven't already booked your hotel, unfortunately The Palomar is sold out.  Recommended hotels in the vicinity, is a brand new Courtyard/Residence Inn which is right across the street from the Palomar and then The Renaissance which is 2 blocks away. 
 
I apologize for this inconvenience.
 
Be assured that this committee, along with the staffs of both venues will try to make this change as seamless as possible.

A long-planned Veterans Affairs hospital being built in Denver, already hundreds of millions of dollars over its $604 million budget, has turned into a billion-dollar boondoggle for the agency. The contractor, Kiewit-Turner, blames the VA for ignoring agreements to submit plans that can be built within budget and has asked a federal board overseeing civilian contract disputes to let the company walk away from the job. During this era, eight track tapes ruled the music world. America's love of the automobile, was a driving force in creating the demand for musical cassette formats. For those who grew up in this era, an eight track tape player in your home and your car was an essential. It was eventually replaced by cassette and other formats for storing music.
