Construction Executive of the Year Finalist

Scott Bourdo
 President - Kovach Building Enclosures
Scott Bourdo earned his position as president of Kovach Building Enclosures in 2012, after 19 years of hard work, loyalty, and an uncanny "feel" for overseeing the crucial details present in a construction environment. He is the only non-family owner in the company's 46-year history. In his role as president, Scott is responsible for the daily operations; including all financial, field, and manufacturing aspects. The firm, a world-class building enclosure company, provides design assistance, engineering, fabrication, and installation of some of the most complex, yet cost-effective exterior cladding and glazing systems nationwide.

Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Chandler Compadres, a non-profit charitable organization, founded in 1980, that helps to build stronger families in the East Valley. He is also a member of the Young President's Organization - Arizona Chapter. In recent years, he has served as the Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Member of the Board of Directors for ICAN. The organization, which stands for Improving Chandler Area Neighborhoods, is a local youth outreach program.

He and his wife, Jami, have been married for 15 years, and are the proud parents of two children. They reside in Chandler with their two dogs, Jack and Lucy. Some of Scott's favorite activities are traveling, snowboarding, camping, and off-roading. He most of all loves spending his time with family and friends, and believes in the "work hard, play hard" mentality.
