CFMA - Valley of the Sun

Where can you find nearly 300 of your closest colleagues? Probably volunteering their talent, passion, and dedication to one (or more!) of CFMA’s Committees and Task Forces ! Whether meeting monthly, quarterly, or on an as-needed basis, we salute the CFMA volunteers who gave nearly 3,000 hours of their time last year in the interest of furthering CFMA’s mission. Committee work for 2017-18 includes tackling charges such as: Facilitating regional Suicide Prevention Summits across the country (Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention Task Force) Evaluating affinity partner programs and seeking partners (Membership Committee) Planning 2018 conference tracks and newsletter articles (Specialty Trade and Heavy/Highway Subcommittees) Ensuring the quality and integrity of delivering practical information in each issue of CFMA Building Profits (Publications...

Well my friends, it happened. My year as the President of the VoS Chapter of CFMA has come to end. My heart knew this was coming, but my head said I would be able to ignore it just a little bit longer. As of today, I can’t ignore it any more. I am sure all of you are aware of how extremely proud of this Chapter I am – we are strong, vital, active, aware, involved, and we make a difference. As of today we are 325 strong and we are a force to reckoned with! All I have to do is stand back and I can see proof of our hard work everywhere! I see it in the Scholarships funds we have set up at NAU, UofA and ASU I see it in the Fall and Spring semester scholarships we award every year   I see it in the Feed My Starving Children event     I see it in the Habitat for Humanity event   I see it in the UMOM walk   I see it in the baseball games, basketball games, and kickball tournaments   I see in the CEoY  ...

Do you know a CFMA member who goes above and beyond for our organization at the chapter and association-wide levels? Why not take a few minutes to nominate this member for the prestigious Debra Hahn Memorial Award ? The Debra Hahn Memorial Award is presented annually to the CFMA member who best exemplifies the volunteer spirit of the association through: •    Enthusiasm in the promotion of CFMA •    Contributions at both the CFMA chapter and association-wide levels •    Activities that support CFMA’s Mission and Strategic Goals •    Consideration for, and service to, fellow CFMA members •    Significant years of contributions to CFMA Officers from CFMA or ICCIFP are ineligible for the award until three (3) years have elapsed from their terms of service.
