Women In Construction Finance Management Social Event Was a Blast-The Brush Bar

Since most of us are in business roles that predominantly use the left side of our brain, we decided to try something that explored the right side - the more artistic one.  We recently had a Women in Construction event at The Brush Bar in Old Town Scottsdale.  About 10 of us got together to drink some wine, have a few bites to eat from The Herb Box and give it a try at painting.  Speaking for myself, the wine was definitely essential  to release my creative abilities!

We voted on which picture to paint and the winner was a desert cactus.  Although we all got the same instructions for painting our pictures, the results were very different showing the various personalities of our group. Some used the directed pink as the background while others used blue, purple, yellow, and orange.

We enjoyed the conversation and looking at the various outcomes.  While some were quite proud of theirs and already had a spot picked out to place it in their house, others were thinking of hanging it in the office men's restroom so they wouldn't have to see it again!

In any case, it was a fun event and an opportunity to get to know other women in CFMA!  We look forward to the next!
